Kat Puchowska is a photographer born in the south of Poland, who is currently based in Barcelona, Spain, and London, UK.
She studied Art and Photography at Nottingham Trent University in the United Kingdom and Fine Art at the Universitat de Barcelona, Spain.
Her earliest projects had been fashion and portraiture focused however further on with the interest in culture and society she based her further projects around cultural, urban, and documentary photography. The first exhibition 'Mireu Me' and the book was initiated to capture local men from Barcelona in their own fashion style and preferred locations around the city.
In 2018 Kat traveled to Morocco where she captured the street life of locals in their everyday life while discovering the culture and local cuisine. In 2019 she hosted an online exhibition of street portraits that were taken on a journey from north to south of Egypt. In 2020 Kat became interested in the Indian agricultural workers who were based in a small village in Portugal called Odemira, specifically the living and working conditions which the immigrants face in a European country.
ABOUT THE PAST EXHIBITION PROJECT
In the project “MIREU ME! Catalans through the lens” I explore the contemporary Catalan culture of the unique style and personal environment. The true identity of local Catalan men behind the multi-cultural and touristic streets of Barcelona.
